今年の春に小さくてあまり元気のない６つのレモングラスを買ってきてキッチンガーデンの前に植えたのですが、今や巨大で青々しく健康に育ちました。手を少し葉っぱにこすると、レモンの素敵な香りがします。レモングラスは料理の香り付けや紅茶として使うことができます。また株分けも簡単に行うことができるのですぐに増やすことができます。
下の部分は凍らせても乾かしても料理に使うことができます。
1株を丸ごと掘りおこし数株に分けて植えました。株が硬いのでノコギリを使いました。植える前に新しい株に必ず根っこがついているのを確認しましょう。来年に大量のレモングラスがとれるのが楽しみです！
